چکیده

Abstract As the unique power entrance, pantograph–catenary electrical contact system maintains efficiency and reliability of transmission for high-speed train. Along with fast development railways all over world, some commercialized lines are built covering remote places under harsh environment, especially in China; these environmental elements including wind, sand, rain, thunder, ice snow need to be considered during design system. The includes pantograph, wire interface—pantograph slide. key component, this pantograph slide plays a critical role reliable dynamic condition. fundamental material characteristics such as conductivity, impact resistance, wear etc., directly determine sliding performance system; meanwhile, different detection methods crucial service maintenance. In addition, challenges brought from extreme operational conditions discussed, taking Sichuan–Tibet Railway currently construction special example high-altitude climate. outlook developing ultra-high-speed train equipped novel which can address harsher environment is also involved. This paper has provided comprehensive review railway systems, its progress, challenges, outlooks history future.

Atomic Layer Deposition of Silicon Nitride Thin Films: A Review of Recent Progress, Challenges, and Outlooks

With the continued miniaturization of devices in the semiconductor industry, atomic layer deposition (ALD) of silicon nitride thin films (SiNx) has attracted great interest due to the inherent benefits of this process compared to other silicon nitride thin film deposition techniques. These benefits include not only high conformality and atomic-scale thickness control, but also low deposition te...

High-speed Railways in Germany

When the railway appeared as a new means of transportation in the first half of the 19th century, its top speed of 30 to 40 km/h was considered dangerous. In Germany, where Adler transported two barrels of beer between Nuremberg and Fürth in 1835 as the first German rail freight, physicians warned people against such perilous adventures and farmers were worried that their cows grazing alongside...

challenges and recent progress Paul

The societal need for reliable climate predictions and a proper assessment of their uncertainties is pressing. Uncertainties arise not only from initial conditions and forcing scenarios, but also from model formulation. Here, we identify and document three broad classes of problems, each representing what we regard to be an outstanding challenge in the area of mathematics applied to the climate...
